ROBOTICA 2013

Bulgarian students’ cutting edge skills of to be presented during March 2013 exhibItions

From 6 to 8 March 2013 , Inter Expo Center Sofia will host B2B industrial exhibitions held in strategic sectors of metallurgy, automation and robotics, and electronics industry, plastic and rubber Industry (MachTech & METAL, IFAM, INTRONIKA, PLAST).

The product range of exhibited products includes new items, technology and systems – metal-processing, metal -cutting and multifunction machines and components, CNC systems and drives, solutions for remote diagnostic , robotization of processes and high -capacity machines – the latest achievements in automation, electronics, advanced telecommunications solutions and many others.

This International Forum will motivate for yet another year Bulgarian and foreign engineering and trading companies to establish business contacts, search for partners for commercial partnership , research, technology transfer and business cooperation.

The industrial exhibitions bring together not only experts in some of the most innovative and fastest growing areas, but they also build a bridge between businesses and the younger generation of students in technical universities. They serve as an important catalyst for the relationship between scientific and professional development of students and business environment – where they build their further careers.

This year ,the ROBOTICA Student Club at theTechnicalUniversity-Sofia,under the systematic guidance of their scientific advisers from the Faculty of „Automation“ ,will demonstrate at their booth the latest achievements of the Club members. The club is open to students and enthusiasts from other universities with an interest and desire for development in the field of robotics.

On-site demos are expected to vividly illustrate many of the achievements of talented students , demonstrating the great skills and creativity of young artists. „Follow the line“ Game, „How to get through a maze“, „RoboFootball“, „RoboSumo“ and a freestyle category are just some of the original solutions that brought fame to the Club members and attract public attention. They will also share their serious plans to work on important projects in fields such as medicine, working in dangerous environment, greater autonomy for the elderly, etc. This „community of young people in robotics“ will not show serious plans to do business, but it will also provoke the interest of a much younger generation of school kids, for whom robotics may turn from a simple hobby into a life mission.

The booth of ROBOTICA Club is there to welcome anyone willing to present a model or compare it with robots in different categories.

The „smart machines“ creators will be ready for new meetings, demonstrations and sharing of ideas and experiences in integrating complicated  knowledge and cutting-edge skills. As the Robotics Day held at theTechnicalUniversity-Sofia(April 8, 2013) is approaching , we expect an increase in the group of robotics enthusiast and participants in the contests.

Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.
